頂点への挑戦 ～ チーム室屋の2014シーズン・テイクオフ！

3年ぶりに再開される世界最高の舞台「レッドブル・エアレース・ワールドチャンピオンシップ」の開幕戦から、ちょうど1か月前に、チーム室屋の参戦発表会が開かれました。

多くの報道陣が集まる中、室屋は、2009年/2010年のレース活動を振り返りつつ、この3年間に挑んだWAC（ワールドエアロバティックスチャンピオンシップ）やEAC（ヨーロッパん選手権）へのチャレンジ、国内での活動を通じて、技術面、精神面で大きく成長したこと、だからこそ、今シーズンは、それが良い結果としてついてくるはずだと自信を覗かせました。

発表会の直前まで、アメリカで機体の最終調整とトレーニングを積んできており、自身も機体もコンディションが上がってきている室屋は、発表会後、再びトレーニングへ発ち、開幕戦を最高の状態で挑むと決意を示しました。

発表会の前日に、41歳の誕生日を迎えた室屋に、サプライズのバースデーケーキが用意される一幕も。そんな多くの人たちに、温かく支えられている室屋は、チームとしてみんなで世界で戦っているのだと、何よりも"仲間"を意識していると語り、その期待に必ず応えると強く誓いました。

チーム室屋は、日本の代表として、みんなの想い、期待を胸に、世界の頂への挑戦が始まりました。

Race to the Top - Team MUROYA's 2014 Season Has Kicked Off

Team MUROYA has announced its intention to participate in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, one of the most prestigious motor races, one month prior to its season opening. The Championship is resuming after a three-year hiatus.

During a press conference, MUROYA looked back on his 2009-2010 racing season and described skills and internal development gained through his participation in the World Aerobatic Championship, the European Aerobatic Championship, and various professional activities in Japan in the past three years. He is confident that these experiences will reap strong results in the upcoming season.

MUROYA was training and making final adjustment to his airplane in the United States until immediately before the press conference. He stated that he and his plane are getting into good shape. After the press conference, he will be on his way again to a training camp and is determined to start the season in top-notch shape. 

MUROYA's supporters and friends threw him a surprise party the day before the press conference, which was his forty-first birthday. Such an event simply shows how MUROYA is loved and backed by many. They all are his "team," according to MUROYA. He vows that he will compete together with these allies and live up to their expectations. 

Team MUROYA is encouraged by the good wishes and expectations of its supporters and has launched on its journey to becoming best of the best, representing Japan.

レッドブル・エアレースが2014年に復活 チーム室屋も参戦決定！！

世界最速のモータースポーツ『Red Bull Air Race World Championship

（レッドブル・エアレース・ワールドチャンピオンシップ）』が2014年2月に復活。

2009年、2010年シリーズに引き続き、チーム室屋も全戦参戦が決定！

今回、2010年の休止から3年という年月をかけて安全性を見直し再構成されたこのシリーズは、前回の世界チャンピオンを含むトップ12人のパイロットで復活を果たします。

全パイロットに適用される標準エンジンやプロペラを含む様々な部分に技術的改良が加えられ、また、パイロンの材質は飛行機の翼に接触して損傷した場合簡単に破裂するように軽量なナイロン製に変更されました。

さらにパイロットが地上から20〜25mを通過できるようパイロンの高さが引き上げられています。

規定速度の遵守をはじめ、ルールも強化されました。

また、安全対策の一環であり、新しいレッドブル・エアレースのハイライトの一つとも言える『チャレンジャーズ・カップ』が2014年から導入される予定です。

レッドブル・エアレース・ワールドチャンピオンシップでは、世界最高のレースパイロットたちが、スピードと正確さ、技能をもって純粋なモータースポーツ・レースを競い合います。

最速で、機動性に優れ、最軽量のレース用飛行機を使用し、地上25mの高さに浮かぶ空気で膨らませたパイロンで構成された低空の空中コースを周回します。

3年前のレースと比べ、ルールや安全面で改良が加えられていますが、1点だけは以前のまま。それは、レッドブル・エアレースが空を舞台にした最もスリルに満ちたモータースポーツであることです。

Thanks for the support.

I would like to express my sincere sympathy to everyone affected by the recent earthquake off northeastern Pacific Ocean coast.


My Staff and myself, living in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, directly encountered the earthquake.
Thank you all of for your messages of concern. My staff and aircraft are all safe for now.

Under the unstable nuclear plant situation, people in Fukushima are still living with tight food and gasoline supplies, and also accepting residents evacuated from the power plant area.
We are fighting with multiple disasters to restart normal life.

In addition, the suffering due to the tsunami being endured by the people affected is probably unimaginable.

So many messages from all over the world are reaching us, and it is encouraging us quite a lot.
For further recover, For now we need global support due to the profound damages.


What I can do for now would be expanding the circle of help as much as possible!

I would like to express the gratitude and warm feelings of everyone.

The relief money collected through Google Checkout will be donated to a charity set up through the 

Japanese Red Cross to support victims of the earthquake and rebuild the afflicted areas.

Red Bull Air Race season over

The final race of the 2010 held Red Bull Air Race World Championship was held in Germany at the Euro Speedway, Lausitz. Hannes Arch won with a time of 1:12:30, Paul Bonhomme was second only 0.36 seconds behind. Paul Bonhomme won the 2010 World Championship title over the six race season.

Yoshi Muroya was fourth in training, 9th in the qualifying round today which was postponed yesterday because of rain, The top 12 round resulted in 9-seconds of penalties, including a Pylon hit with a total of, 1:23:76 for 12th place in this round. A total of five points for the six round 2010 World Championship placed him in 12th overall.

Eurospeedway Lausitz training rounds

T1 and T2 where the first time Yoshi has been in the race track for 3 months since Rio. Getting back to speed took a little time but now today in T4, Yoshi ahs put in a good practice time placing Team Muroya 4th in training. Pretty good since he has so much less time in the race track compared to the other pilots. For T4 we went with different power settings to those we have tried in previous races and the engine is really running nicely. That together wth a new fuel servo compared to the last race in Rio, we are at last competitive with the second tier group of pilots. Yoshi thinks there is still room for improvement in the lines through the course. Here is hoping for some really good Qualifying rounds tomorrow!

Flying again

Back in the air after repairing the tail plane and making a new canopy at the Xtremeair factory in Germany.
Soon the last Red Bull Air Race for this season. After that it won't be until 2012 that the next edition of RBAR will be seen.
So, Team Muroya is looking forward to a smooth and trouble free race to finish the 2010 season on a high note!
